BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Meet the Board of Directors of our organization, a dedicated group of individuals who are committed to the cause of providing education and training to disabled children.

Founder Director

Dr. Riaz Ahmed Sheikh (late) In 1987, the organization was established by Dr. Riaz Ahmed Sheikh, who had a doctorate in Special Education from London in the 60s. He materialized the dream of educating deaf children and initiated a project for their education and training. His efforts were recognized at an international level, and foreign delegates extended financial, technical, and moral help.

Founder Member

Razia Sultana (Late) Razia Sultana, the wife of Dr. Riaz Ahmed Sheikh, played a pivotal role in establishing the institute. She was a founder member of NC for Education of Deaf and dedicated her entire life to the cause of special children, despite her widowhood, strenuous challenges, and falling health. Her services can never be ignored.

 

Honorary Chairman

Rasheed Ahmed Khan (Col R) Rasheed Ahmed Khan is a generous, kind-hearted, and God-fearing ex-army man who has vowed to support the cause of our NGO for the education and training of deaf children. He offered the utilization of a large complex owned by him for the provision of humanitarian services for the deaf and disabled, including assessment and evaluation with diagnostic capacity on a large scale, which rarely exists elsewhere.

Former President

Rakshanda Sheikh Rakshanda Sheikh is a graduate in deaf education from Saint Louis & Gallaudet University (America). She is the daughter of Dr. R.A.S and worked as the president of the NGO in its infancy and also worked as a volunteer teacher trainer. In the establishing years of the organization, Rakshanda Sheikh worked hard to get affiliation, registration, and collaboration with various local and international Institutes and Departments.

 

President

Dr. Tahir Riaz Dr. Tahir Riaz, the son of Dr. Riaz Ahmed Sheikh, has been an active member of the NGO for the last two decades. His utmost dedication and his efforts are the key factors behind sailing through all odds. Under his guidance and supervision, the institution is excelling leaps and bounds.

 

Finance Secretary

Amna Rustam Amna Rustam is the Finance Secretary. She is committed and devoted and has a broad vision and innovative ideas that could help the organization improve further.

 

Joint Secretary

Abdul Mannan Abdul Mannan is a well-educated Mechanical Engineer who was accidentally amputated and is well aware of the feelings of the disabled. He is passionately motivated to render some valuable services for deaf children.

Meet Our Dedicated Faculty

At PNIDK, we take pride in our team of dedicated and hardworking faculty members who are committed to providing quality education and training to our students. Our faculty members are passionate about their work and bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. They strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes learning and growth.

Founder Principal

Nomita Riaz our Founder Principal, is a foreign qualified team leader who has been administrating PNIDK for years. With her diploma in Speech & Language Development from Holland, she has been serving as a management leader since the beginning. She is a master trainer who has trained numerous students and teachers in sign language and speech therapy, enabling them to earn a respectable living by using their skills.

Principal

Huma Rahman, our Principal, holds an M.A in Special Education with Training in Audiometry. She is an expert in sign language, devoted, enthusiastic, and always ready to take initiative for the betterment of the school. She believes in team management, and the institute is progressing under her headship.

Volunteer worker

Iram Riaz, a devoted volunteer worker, studied speech from the Vor. Doven Institute in the Netherlands.

Nami Sugizaki was appointed by JICA as a volunteer to work as an Art & Craft teacher for two years from 2005 to 2007.

Peter Versijik, a volunteer from the Rotary Club Country Lake Canada, worked as an Audiologist at PNIDK.

Our teaching staff also includes talented and bonafide deaf students who serve as Drawing, Art & Craft Teacher, Special Education Teacher, Calligrapher & Art Teacher, and Sports Teacher. Anam Abdul Khaliq, Madeeha Akram, Feezan Javaid, and Saeed Anwer are examples of our talented and dedicated students who are also part of our faculty.

Our faculty members’ passion, dedication, and commitment to their work have helped us achieve new heights, and we are proud to have such an exceptional team of educators at PNIDK.
